Grain Flow Forged The Mizuno Pro 221 irons are forged from 1025E Pure Select mild carbon steel at their Hiroshima, Japan facility, where they have been producing irons since 1968.
Compact Profile Beveled edges deliver the appearance of an even thinner topline and shorter head length without losing the playability from redistributed mass.
Soft Copper Underlay A microlayer of copper beneath Nickel Chrome makes for the purest, softest feel made famous by the iconic TN87.
Impact Area Reweighted Mass was relocated from the heel area to the muscle pad to produce a player preferred sound, discovered through Mizuno’s “blind” tests.
Controllable Shot Shaping Mizuno's shortest CG / shaft axis is consistent from 3-PW, allowing controlled fades and draw feels right through the set.
Smaller Scoring Irons Following feedback from the tour, 8-PW are dramatically reduced in size – with a heavily taped upper blade to control trajectory.
